U.S. Senator John Cornyn of Texas visited Texarkana on Monday, touring Texarkana Door & Window and meeting with local business leaders. The senator was in town promoting President Trump’s so-called “Big and Beautiful Bill,” which includes major tax reforms.
Cornyn said the plan lowers taxes for families and small businesses, extends the child tax credit, and allows more deductions for small business owners. He noted that the changes are meant to put more money back into Texans’ pockets and help small businesses grow.
Cornyn also voiced his support for the Red River Army Depot, which could soon take on new work manufacturing drones for the military.
