A Hooks, Texas, man is being held on $200,000 bail after allegedly robbing a Texarkana convenience store in June.
Police say 23-year-old Jason Jamari Moore walked into the Quick Pick #3 on West 38th Street on June 7 wearing a ski mask — but otherwise dressed the same as when he visited the store earlier that day. The clerk, who handed over about $500, told investigators he recognized Moore from that earlier visit.
Security footage was shared on social media, and a tip from the public led police to Moore’s workplace at a local fast food restaurant. He was arrested June 21 and booked into the Bowie County jail.
Moore is charged with aggravated robbery and faces five to 99 years or life in prison if convicted. The case is assigned to 202nd District Judge John Tidwell, with First Assistant District Attorney Kelley Crisp prosecuting.
