Residents in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas may qualify for help with summer electric bills through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

Residents in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas may qualify for help with summer electric bills through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program. SWEPCO is reminding customers that this federally funded program assists eligible families with home energy costs.

Each state has different income requirements and application steps. To check eligibility, visit SWEPCO.com/billhelp, or contact your local Community Action Agency.

Last year, over 44,000 households in Arkansas, 100,000 in Louisiana, and 75,000 in Texas received aid, with average benefits ranging from $181 to over $1,700.
