Salazar Sentenced To Life Without Parole In Highway Crash Case

22-year-old Zachary Salazar was sentenced by a Bowie County jury to life without the possibility of parole Friday for intentionally crashing his truck into a minivan and killing two young children.

The jury found Salazar guilty of capital murder before handing down the sentence.  Assistant District Attorney Lauren Richards pointed to Salazar’s threat immediately before the crash and to a Facebook post from earlier in the day where he threatened to “kill himself or someone else.”
