Texarkana, Texas police arrested a woman Tuesday afternoon after she allegedly claimed a bomb had been placed inside the Texarkana Public Library.
Texarkana, Texas police arrested a woman Yesterday afternoon after she allegedly claimed a bomb had been placed inside the Texarkana Public Library.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, officers and firefighters responded to the library around 3:00 p.m. after a woman told staff there was a bomb in the building. The library was immediately evacuated while emergency crews searched the facility and surrounding area.
Authorities said no explosive device was found during the search.
The woman, identified as 56-year-old Becky Clizzie, remained at the scene and was taken into custody. She was charged with False Alarm or Report and booked into the Bi-State Jail.
The incident caused a temporary disruption at the library but ended without injuries.
