The U.S. House of Representatives has approved fiscal year 2026 funding that includes $27.2 million for projects in Arkansas’s Fourth District, with $11 million set aside for Texarkana Regional Airport.
Congressman Bruce Westerman secured the funding through the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill, which now goes to the president for signature.
The airport funding will be used to build a new taxilane and widen the main taxiway. The upgrades will allow larger aircraft to operate at the airport and are expected to support economic growth in the Texarkana region.
