Texas Hemp Law Changes What THC Products Are Legal

A change in Texas law that took effect July 31 has changed the legal status of some hemp-derived THC products.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department is reminding residents that products legally purchased before the law changed could now be illegal to possess.

Delta-8, Delta-10, THCP and other covered THC isomers or analogs are now classified as Schedule One controlled substances in Texas.

Police say not all hemp products are banned. Some products meeting state requirements, including certain products with no more than 0.3 percent Delta-9 THC by dry weight, remain legal.

Residents are encouraged to check current Texas requirements before possessing or using hemp-derived THC products.
