A Bowie County grand jury has indicted 41-year-old William Daniel Waggoner the Third for allegedly threatening District Judge Jeff Addison. Authorities say Waggoner, while performing community service on July 29, told probation officers, “I could kill that mother [expletive],” referring to Judge Addison.
Waggoner was reportedly upset after being ordered to complete 40 more hours of community service for failing a drug test. He is already on felony probation for attempting to injure his elderly father in 2021.
He’s been in custody since July 30, charged with making a terroristic threat against a judge, with bail set at $100,000. If convicted, Waggoner faces up to two years in state jail, and his probation could also be revoked.
