The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is warning residents about a new text message scam targeting Amazon customers.
Police say victims receive a text claiming an item they purchased was recalled or poor quality. The message promises a full refund and free replacement and includes a link for more details. However, officials say the link leads to a fake website designed to steal your Amazon login information.
Authorities advise residents not to click links in unexpected texts. If you’re concerned about an order, use the official Amazon app or website directly. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
