Texarkana, Arkansas Police have arrested a man following a shooting investigation.
Police say officers responded to reports of gunfire near 600 Price Lane late on August 15th. A vehicle carrying a shooting victim later crashed into a machine shop on Senator Street. The victim was treated at the scene and taken for further medical care.
Investigators identified 33-year-old Decoyae DeWayne Mitchell as a suspect. He faces charges of first-degree battery and 20 counts of committing a terroristic act.
Police SWAT officers served a high-risk warrant Wednesday morning, August 19th, at an apartment on Washington Street. Mitchell was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is ongoing.
