The shooting happened around 12:40 p.m. in the westbound lanes near mile marker 11. A 40-year-old Texas man driving a red Toyota Prius was shot in the forearm after a confrontation with another driver in a gray Nissan Altima with Arkansas plates. The suspect, wearing an orange fleece, reportedly followed the victim closely and flashed his headlights before the shooting.
The victim’s car was hit several times. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
