Police are investigating after possible human remains were discovered Thursday afternoon on the Arkansas side of Texarkana.

Police are investigating after possible human remains were discovered Thursday afternoon on the Arkansas side of Texarkana.

Officers with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department were flagged down around 2:45 p.m. near Delaware and Ray streets. After confirming the discovery, detectives and crime scene investigators responded to process the area.

Authorities are working to identify the remains and determine the circumstances surrounding the case. The investigation remains ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
