The Arkansas Department of Health will offer free flu vaccinations at the Miller County Health Unit in Texarkana on September 22.

The drive-through clinic will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. No appointment is required, and residents can receive their vaccine without leaving their vehicles. Health officials encourage people to get vaccinated early, since it takes about two weeks to build immunity. Flu season typically runs from October through March.
