The deadline is approaching for Hempstead County seniors to apply for the Hempstead Guarantee Scholarship at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana.
The scholarship covers a student’s first year of tuition, fees, and book rentals not already paid by other financial aid.
To qualify, students must graduate from a Hempstead County high school, complete the Arkansas state scholarship application by May 1, submit the FAFSA and all required documents by May 31, and enroll in at least 12 credit hours for the fall semester by June 30.
Eligible schools include Blevins, Garrett Memorial, Hope, and Spring Hill.
