A Bowie County judge has denied bond for a 22-year-old inmate who escaped from a Texarkana hospital Wednesday night and was recaptured hours later.
Authorities say Omarion Lamon Owens escaped from CHRISTUS St. Michael after removing his restraints and fleeing on foot. Officers later found him hiding at an apartment complex off Kennedy Lane.
Judge John Tidwell denied bond on the new escape charge and revoked bond in all of Owens’ other pending cases, leaving him held without bond.
Owens faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault and robbery, and is accused of shooting and injuring a woman and her 10-year-old daughter in March 2025.
